Rules & Regulations

Visiting Etiquette:

Respect the privacy of those visiting graves or attending a funeral.
Keep noise levels to a minimum.
Children should be accompanied by an adult and not allowed to play on or around monuments.
Please, follow the speed limit of 15 miles per hour or less on cemetery roads.
If you see vandalism or theft, please notify the cemetery or the police.

Decorations:

Fresh-Cut Flowers

We encourage you to place fresh-cut flowers in approved containers.
Approved containers are provided for you to use at no charge. They are located near the light pole on the main driveway.
Fresh-cut flowers may only be placed in pre-installed ground vases or vases mounted on upright monuments. Artificial flowers are not allowed in the in-ground vases or flower boxes.
Please remove flowers that have deteriorated and return vases to the public container area.

Potted Plants:

You may place potted plants at your loved one’s grave in approved plant stands.
We require metal plant stands with a single pole and ground plate. Pots placed within the plant stands must be made of frost-free ceramic. No plastic pots, please. Pots should be filled with potting soil. Styrofoam is not permitted. Please, center the plant stand behind the monument.
Plant stands and pots are available for purchase from the cemetery.

Winter Wreaths:

Winter wreaths and pine tops may be placed in the cemetery November through February. These items will be disposed of if they become deteriorated or after February.

In-Ground Planting:

You may not plant shrubs, flowers, trees, bushes or other in-ground plantings in the cemetery at any time. If you wish to add to the beauty of the grounds, we accept donations to place trees on your behalf in specified areas of the cemetery. Donated trees will be maintained by the cemetery and are considered cemetery property.
Flower boxes—in sections of the cemetery that allow upright monuments, you may plant flowers in approved flower boxes. An approved flower box must be made of fiberglass reinforced cement and be no larger than 14-1/2 inches x 29 inches x 6 inches in size. The boxes must be centered in front of the upright monument, at ground level. You may purchase flower boxes from the cemetery in one of four colors.

Artificial Plants and Flowers:

Artificial plants and flowers are allowed in the cemetery from April through October each year. They must be displayed in approved pots and plant stands only. These items will be removed and discarded at the end of October, or if they become damaged in any way.

Other, Non-Floral Items:

For the safety of visiting guests and cemetery workers, we do not permit any non-floral items placed on graves at any time. These items include (but are not limited to) personal mementos, decorations, statues, shepherd hooks, lights, kites, windsocks, food, stuffed animals, and glass or plastic containers. These items will be removed and disposed of without notice if found in the cemetery.

Flags:

To honor U. S. veterans, the cemetery will place flags in the cemetery on Memorial Day. Please, do not place American flags on graves as decorations. It is not permitted according to the U. S. Flag Code.

How We Enforce Decorations Rules:

These rules and regulations are in place to help us protect cemetery workers and visitors to the cemetery. It is your responsibility to remove any items not allowed. If you do not or are unable to remove these items, cemetery management will remove them for you without notice. The cemetery is not responsible for damage or loss of items.
